Bathroom Makeover

We rent our house. We can decorate to a certain degree but can’t do anything structural.

We’ve had problems with our bathroom since we moved in in 2017, mainly with the bathroom sink, well the most serious problems with the sink.

The taps stick and are very stiff which can make it difficult for me to turn them on some days and the sink itself is falling off the wall.

The sink is very old and used to be mounted to the wall, at some point before we moved in the cupboard below was created in order to hold the sink up.

I hate it.

It’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen in my life and I’m so happy that we are finally going to get a new one.

Our hot tap stopped working before Christmas and although the plumber has tried, he can’t repair them, so new sink it is, Hurrah!

The bathroom is the only room in our house that I’ve never decorated, mainly because of the sink issues and a few others. I knew eventually that we would have to get it replaced and decorating just seemed pointless.

So, I’m now into bathroom decor ideas, my Pinterest boards are going to be full of bathroom ideas and shelving.

We don’t have a huge amount of usable space in our bathroom but there is a decent amount of wall space. So built in storage it will be, hopefully.

I’m planning to record my decorating exploits and put them on my YouTube channel but will also put them on here.

My brain has now started to thing how cool it would be to have a Harry Potter themed bathroom, I’m Harry Potter obsessed and the bathroom is the only room I could get away with it in, I’m thinking the prefects bathroom from the Goblet of Fire, or just a general HP theme, oh I’m so excited!

I’m off the have a bath now and contemplate my bathrooms makeover.

See Ya!

Glad you are getting a new sink. We rent too and deal with issues with small details as well. Like all the group on my tile floor in the kitchen is coming up.
